During this six hour small group workshop you will learn how to transform a log into a functional wooden spoon using simple hand tools.

We will discuss the basics of spoon carving and tools of the trade, including how to safely use an axe and basic knife techniques.

You will learn about choosing the right piece of wood, designing a spoon, and reading the grain.

No previous woodworking experience is necessary. You will learn safety techniques and have step-by-step instruction along your spoon carving journey. All tools and materials necessary will be provided for use during the workshop. Size of group limited to 4 participants.
