ArtWaves is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community arts center dedicated to making creativity accessible to all. Located on Mount Desert Island, we offer a welcoming space where people of all ages and skill levels can explore, learn, and connect through art and movement.

Visual Arts Studios

Using dynamic workshops, classes, and exhibitions, we provide opportunities for hands-on learning in painting, printmaking, fiber arts, mixed media, and more. Within our two studios (Kaleidoscope Studio and Fine Arts Studio) we run programs designed to inspire self-expression, foster collaboration, and support lifelong engagement in the arts.

Movement Studio

ArtWaves is home to a dance studio.  In this studio programs hosted ArtWaves and/or community groups provide a wide array of movement programs such as ballet, yoga, karate, Zumba and contemporary.

Community Events

The multi-building and multi-acre property is also the site of numerous community events and gatherings throughout the year.  Feel free to reach out to office@artwavesmdi.org if you are interested in hosting an event at the campus.
