Membership




ArtWaves Membership ensures that quality programming will continue. Membership to ArtWaves makes a statement that you want to be apart of a community that supports access to art for all ages and skill levels!

Thank you for considering an ArtWaves membership!  We are elated to extend the following benefits to members as a way to extend our gratitude and develop a sense of community.

Student Membership

Membership is $36/annually and includes all the benefits of our Individual Membership!

This membership is designed for middle school, high school, college and graduate school students.


Seasonal Employee Membership

Membership is $36 and includes all the benefits of our Individual Membership! This membership is valid from May-October.

This membership is designed for people who come to MDI and the surrounding areas to work at our hotels, restaurants, gardens, etc.!

Family Membership

Membership is $90/annually or monthly payments of $7.50 and includes all the benefits of our Individual Membership!

You and everyone in your family will receive a $10 discount on unlimited ArtWaves workshops and classes!

Individual Membership

Membership is $60/annually or $5/month.

  • This membership includes access to our Free Studio times currently Thursdays and Sundays, where you have access to the facility, materials, and tools you need to start or finish a project!
  • You will receive a $10 discount on any/all ArtWaves workshops and classes throughout the year.
  • You will receive invitations to special and member events!
  • You will have the knowledge that you are supporting the vibrant community of ArtWaves and our beautiful campus.

Artist Membership

Membership is $120/annually or $10/month and includes all the benefits of our Individual Membership and more:

  • Invitation to include art work in ArtWaves exhibitions on and around Mount Desert Island (MDI Hospital, Bar Harbor Savings and Loan, Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, and more). Opportunities to connect and collaborate with fellow artists to show and promote your work.
  • Members may reserve time in our Dance Studio
  • Listing on our Artist Member Page which includes a direct link to your website or shop.
  • Opportunities for cooperative advertising 
  • Paid artist teaching and mentoring opportunities.
  • You are eligible for mention in the ArtWaves monthly newsletter, including announcements of your exhibits, recognitions received, speaking engagements, and other art activities or services you are performing in the community. Email office@artwavesmdi.org to give us the details you want announced.
  • More opportunities developing , we welcome your input.
