Our Art & Sip workshops are designed to be fun, beginner-friendly experiences where you can explore a new creative skill in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Pair your favorite beverage with an evening out BYOB. No prior experience is needed—our instructors will guide you step by step, and all materials are provided.
Needle felting is a simple needling technique like tattooing with small barbed needles to decorate a wool surface. Here’s where you ‘paint’ with a barbed needle building up thin layers of ArtWaves amazing array of dyed wool, silk fibers and other embellishments. It can be a meditative experience - it’s like coloring with sheep's fleece.
There will be plenty of designs to choose from that are perfect for people who just want to sample this technique or you can get more complex in your design by using your own photos and more tapping. You get to relax bask in color, experiment with the abundant stash. No skill or experience required all materials included to make a few coasters, a hotplate or a framable tapestry.

About the instructor: Liz Cutler.com My paintings are inspired by a spark, something that wows me or quietly invites me to linger. I love capturing what transports me to being right there, to share and return to spectacular moments.
Liz is a founder (2013) of ArtWaves, where she continues her practice through figure drawing, teaching, workshops, conversational critiques and working in her personal studio in the ArtWaves farmhouse.
