Young Artists’ Intensive: Exploration of Design in a Variety of Media
Monday - Friday, April 21st - 25th, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
During registration you will select which days your child will attend. We encourage children to attend as many consecutive days as possible for continuity. Pricing is $40/day for non-members $50/day for members.
This multi-day art immersion is designed for young artists in grades 4 through 8 who want to deepen their understanding of design, materials, color and artistic execution. Through a combination of guided instruction, collaborative discussion and self-directed projects, students will explore the fundamental elements of design to create intentional, well-composed artwork.
Each day will begin with structured lessons covering materials, equipment, art history and theory. Students will then be guided through the process of planning and executing their own creative projects. From brainstorming and preliminary sketches to refining and completing their work, students will gain valuable insight into the full artistic process.
This program is ideal for young artists who want to strengthen their visual storytelling skills, refine their ability to plan and execute their ideas, and gain confidence in their creative voice in a studio filled with possibilities..
