The session kicks off with an introduction to the process, where participants are greeted by a wall of colorful roving fibers and some of the Selkie Sauna crew.
With a bit of merriment we learn the art of measuring, making a pattern, teasing the raw wool, laying out roving and best of all designing with color for whimsical and functional sauna hats.
Wearing a sauna hat helps keep your body temperature constant throughout the session. The hat protects your head and ears from getting too hot. The hand felted hat is seamless and wool is antibacterial and dirt repellent. Soak it in cold water to cool your head. Protect your noggin in the sauna!
