I am a white nonbinary transdisciplinary artist and teacher from unceded Peskotomuhkate (“Passamaquoddy”) and Panewapskek (“Penobscot”) land. my current research engages self as nexus and gravity as consciousness––how we can cultivate a movement practice that is gentle, sustainable, kind, and ecologically informed? how does movement and our experience thereof change when we appreciate our fundamental nature as congealed expressions of gravity and energy? pulling from linguistics, cognitive science, chemistry, holistic herbalism, metaphysics, and various movement techniques, i aim to demonstrate and illuminate connectivity, and move towards a verbal way of living, rather than a nominal one. i am grateful to have learned from such considerate movers as Ishmael Houston-Jones, Miguel Gutierrez, Susan Sgorbati, Kieth Hennessey, Tommy DeFrantz, Deborah Black, Kathleen Hermesdorf, Cassils, and many others. my practice is heavily informed by my chronic illness, queerness, and neurodivergence, and is deeply rooted in healing through anti-colonialism and reindigenisation.
