Spray Paint Street Art Stencil Making with Lynx - Aug 2022

Within this workshop participants will learn how to cut and spray a stencil in this fast-growing popular art form. We will explore how to properly utilize negative space in order to get the best outcomes through our designs. You will also be shown techniques on spraying the stencils in order to get varying results and how color theory can be applied to the spray paint medium.

Saturday Aug 6th, 2022 from 10:00am to 1:00pm

$60 ($50 for members)

Teens/Adults of all skill levels

Participants should wear comfortable painting clothes to prepare for the day's weather as we will be spraying our designs outside.  Spray paint can easily shift with the wind - our aprons may not provide full coverage.

Masks, vax'd (over 5), and distancing for staff and participant safety.

About the instructor: Lynx Fabian recently graduated from Mount Desert island High School. ~ "I love to create art, and I have been a member of my school's National Art Honor's Society for the last 3 years. For the spring of 2022 I had a piece of my work in the Portland Museum of Art for their Youth Art Month exhibit. I have been working with the spray paint medium for the last 7 years, although it has been the medium I have worked the most consistent in over the years, I like to dabble in a little bit of everything. Recently I have been exploring the world of clay and dispersed dye printing. When I am not creating art I am running, hiking, or playing ultimate frisbee. I love to be outside, and I love to explore the beautiful Island I am lucky enough to live on. If you would like to see some of my work check me out on Instagram @lynxesbeanfactory." ~
